The Ethiopian Women
Lawyers Association (EWLA) is a non-profit and non-partisan
voluntary organization founded by a group of Ethiopian women
lawyers in 1995 following the ratification of the constitution
of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. An electoral
board manages EWLA and full membership is also open to women
lawyers. Associate membership is available to non-legal women
and men professionals, who support the objectives and concerns
of EWLA.
